Star Trails Over The Judge's Shack in Island Beach State Park 4/11/18

Star trails over the historic Judge's Shack in Island Beach State Park, Jersey Shore, NJ. This shot consists of 350 individual shots taken over the course of two hours and then stacked on top of each other to create the star trails. The motion of Earth's rotation actually creates the apparent motion of the stars.

The orange color around the shack is light pollution from Seaside Heights. Light pollution is a big problem for seeing the night sky and is getting worse every year.
